We have a few different teams on campus that handle different segments of our technology infrastructure. Although we all work together, knowing who to contact in a given situation will help ensure your issue is resolved as quickly as possible.
Please note: email is the preferred (and most efficient) way to report a problem or request an enhancement. However, to report a critical emergency (such as a classroom issue that is impacting instruction or testing), please call one of the telephone extensions listed below.
Please try to avoid contacting specific team members to report an issue; if someone is on vacation or out sick for a few days, your issue may be stuck in limbo while other team members who could be assisting remain unaware of the problem!
All issues with the Canvas Learning Management System are handled by the Teaching & Learning Center (TLC). The quickest and best way (for both faculty and students) to get assistance for Canvas issues is to click on the "Help" link on the left side of the screen in Canvas, and then choose "Report a Problem." For maximum effectiveness, please make sure you are at the place where you are having the problem before clicking on the Help link. Any other questions related to teaching in an online or hybrid environment can be directed to the TLC staff. Students who need assistance with, network accounts, or personal computer hardware/software should contact the TLC at student.tech@richland.edu for assistance.
For questions or issues related to myRichland, Jenzabar, Feith, Argos, or any other systems that are used for student or financial data processing, please contact the Administrative Information Systems department at ais@richland.edu, or extension 6553.
Revisions to the content on the College’s public website (www.richland.edu) need to be submitted to the Marketing department (preferably via email at marketing@richland.edu).
For help with audiovisual equipment, classroom or office computer hardware and software, email, WiFi, telephones, usernames, and all other systems not mentioned above, please contact the Technical Services department at techservices@richland.edu, or extension 6552.
