If you have a phone in your office, there is a 99.9% chance that you have a voice mailbox attached to it. Your voicemail can be accessed from the phone in your office as well as from off-campus if needed:
To access Visual Voicemail from your office phone:
- On your Avaya phone in your office, press the Message button (it looks like an envelope)
- Enter your voicemail password & press Done
- There are three important options on the main menu:
- Listen: Listen to your messages
- Greeting: Record a voicemail greeting
- Passcode: Set your voicemail password
(most people don’t find the other options very interesting, but feel free to ask Tech Services if you have any questions about these other features)
- To set your voicemail greeting, arrow down to the Greeting line and press OK. Then, press Record to begin the process.
- To change your voicemail password, arrow down to the Passcode line and press OK. Enter your old password once, and then follow the on-screen instructions to set your new password.
- To listen to your messages, make sure that Listen is highlighted and press OK. Select to listen to either new or saved messages, then press OK. You can use the onscreen commands to save, delete, or forward (copy) messages as needed.
- To exit visual voicemail, either press the Exit button, or press the home button (the one that looks like a telephone)
